Bernard Lodge worked in Graphic Design for many years,designing some iconic stuff for the BBC,such as the DR Who titles . Having worked with some of the first computer graphic programs, it is very interesting that his work has come back to one of the oldest forms of printmaking,woodcut and lino, “Relief printmaking”.
Bernards’ work is beautifully coloured using layers of blocks and design. Inspired by the artists Hap Grieshaber and John Muafangejo, his own work and portfolio is quintessential to Bernards’ established sense of design and vision.
His print work touches on mythical themes to elements of modern culture.

Bernard shall be at Ink Spot Press on the 1st of March at 7.30pm. There will be a short talk,Q&A’s and a relief printmaking demo.
